This photo was taken in early spring, just after the snow had finally melted, leaving behind the remnants of Fall and a beautiful grey and auburn colour. Nikon FM, Kodak Portra 400 and a 135mm f3.5 lens.
One of my favourite waterfall areas, Crescent Falls are lesser known in the Canadian Rockies yet very spectacular to view up close. I was able to get down to the second waterfall, for this up close and personal view. Camera and tripod held tightly on the edge of a boulder - maybe a metre above the rushing river - I was able to get this beautiful scene into my viewfinder. Shot on the Canon G12, with a 1 second long exposure.
